Pools to Perfection

More than anything, Andy Bari wants his customers to know that they come first at Westrock Pool & Spa.
"We care about our customers from start to finish," he affirms.
The family-run-and-operated Rockland County-based business has been serving the Tri-State area, including Bergen County in North Jersey and Westchester and Orange counties in New York, since it was founded in 1967. Originally started by Bari's father and Robert Ball, Bari now runs the company alongside Ball, and Bari's son, Jordan, heads the construction side of the business.
"Most of our staff has been with us for many years, too," Bari says.
The business boasts three divisions—retail, construction and service—making it a true one-stop shop for anyone who has or is looking to add a pool, spa or sauna at their home. "We do it all—anything and everything for a swimming pool," Bari says.
The place to shop
Westrock's 10,000-square-foot retail store is located on the busy Route 59 corridor in Nanuet, New York, offering the largest selection of pool supplies and hot tubs in the Tri-State area. It's also where most pool projects start, with customers encouraged to stop in to see what the company is all about.
"People travel from all distances to come to our store," Bari says. "It's a very high-volume."
At the shop, customers will find a range of floor samples: spas (including brands such as Bullfrog and Stealth), hot tubs, and above-ground and in-ground pools. There is also a wide range of pool accessories, all available from affordable brands that Westrock stands behind.
"We have the lowest price of anybody and we have only the best quality products," says Bari.
Built on time, on budget
On the construction side of the company, customers work with a team of professionally accredited designers, installers and craftsmen to bring their dream project to life.
Westrock installs approximately three in-ground swimming pools a week, and that's in addition to above-ground pools, hot tubs and spas. Customers are already booking builds for the fall so they're ready for swimming in spring 2027, although Bari highlights that his company still has room on the schedule for summer 2026 pool projects.
A Westrock pool is fully customized to each customer and designed for longevity. In-ground options include gunite, fiberglass and vinyl liner pools. There is also a Stealth Hybrid Semi-Inground pool system that has the look and feel of an in-ground pool at a lower cost. Because of the variety of pools Westrock offers, projects can fit into anyone's budget.
"We have a swimming pool at all different price points for any customer," Bari says. "And it's no pressure sales. Financing is [also] available."
Especially popular right now are swim spas. "That's used as a pool as well as a spa, and it can be used 12 months of the year," Bari says. "A lot of customers come in for a swimming pool and see the swim spas in the showroom in 16-, 17- and 19-foot lengths. And there's really no installation. We deliver it and put it on a slab, patio or deck."
Top service
The Westrock service department and its team of expert technicians help give pool owners peace of mind, whether it's dealing with a needed repair or scheduling upkeep and maintenance. What's more, the company's repair services for pools, hot tubs and spas is available year-round.
What's more, Westrock opens and closes more than 1,000 pools a year, too. Maintenance can come in many forms, from weekly, bi-weekly or monthly plans, each including skimming, brushing and vacuuming, as well as servicing the filter and balancing chemicals. The company also offers draining and cleaning services for hot tubs and swim spas.
Giving back
If Westrock Pool & Spa had a fourth division, it would be charity work. Since its founding nearly 60 years ago, supporting the community and helping those in need has been a top priority for the company.
"It's good karma and it's good for the morale of our staff," says Bari.
Over the years, this mission has supported various organizations including Jawonio, Wounded Warrior Project, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Young Survival Coalition, United Way and the Helen Hayes Hospital Foundation. The company also supports nonprofits that raise awareness for autism, lupus and Rett syndrome. And this is only the tip of the iceberg.
You'll also find Westrock staff volunteering at several community events. They donate a pool each year to a local family dealing with difficult circumstances and the business also offers a "hero discount" to police officers, firefighters, paramedics and those serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
"We've had our ups and downs like any business, but I'm very fortunate," Bari says. "We've become very involved with a lot of our customer's families, and it's very important that we give back."
